Meet Garret Rumbea

Head Coach/Owner

“Fitness continues to inspire me to be a better husband, a better father, a better friend, a better coach, and a better person. The discipline, confidence, humbleness, tranquility, and happiness that I’ve experienced throughout my journey has made me appreciate life and everything it has to offer even more.”

SPECIALIZATION: Building self-awareness; life balance; fat loss; nutrition.

CHALLENGES OVERCOME: Multiple cross-country moves; starting out alone in a new city; pursuing starting a business during a time of hardships.

HOBBIES: Reading; being active; anything outdoors; activities that challenge me mentally/physically, enjoying life with my family.

Garret Rumbea has come a long way from where he started.

For as long as he could remember he felt uncomfortable in his own skin.

Growing up, Garret struggled with shyness and the fear of being judged…

Even though his heart was telling him to be proud of himself, he felt like there was this voice in his head that was holding him back.

It wasn’t until Garret was 18 years old that he realized that his non-health conscious lifestyle led to him gaining thirty pounds and on the verge of becoming medically obese.

That’s when the light switch turned on for Garret and within a weeks notice, he built up the courage to say goodbye to his family and everything he’s ever known to set off on a journey to find himself and his purpose.

He traveled across the country, stopping in Texas for a few years before settling down in Southern California.

Along the way, Garret stumbled across a book that opened his eyes to the possibilities and the potential to achieve whatever he set his mind to.

It was at that point when Garret committed himself to manifesting his dreams into a reality, which was when fitness and helping others became a part of his life.

Fast forward to present day and Garret has been blessed with an amazing family and the opportunity to help others change their lives through fitness and nutrition.

Garret’s experiences have allowed him to understand the frustration of feeling like your life isn’t all coming together the way you want.

As a coach, he realized that his professional skills were an important area for growth. So, just as he had trained his body, he trained his communication skills.

Though it’s certainly paid off, he’s still more of a listener than a talker – which has made him a gifted observer of people.

Garret appreciates the simple things in life, from spending time with his family to being outdoors.

Just as with fitness, Garret believes good coaching is about practicing and mastering the fundamentals: listening, observing, intuition, awareness, empathy, and careful analysis.
